Alone Together is a local Co-op game that is to be played by 2 Players. The objective of the game is to course through a broken-down spaceship and reach the Oxygen chambers at the end of each level before the players run out of oxygen, which happens when they collide with harmful objects, barrels, lasers, and meteorites.

The game fosters a sense of companionship and lets the players work together to get through the mishap, but also puts the players in difficult situations where they have to work alone and complete certain challenges in order to go ahead while keeping in mind that their fellow player might be stuck somewhere else.
